Women entrepreneurs, mainly as a result of culture, have been found to have traits different from their male counterparts and yet they grapple with similar business issues including the need to continuously change and innovate. It is therefore striking that very little is known about the innovative practices of women entrepreneurs, especially those in developing countries.

Zishan Akther Chowdhury a home maker started her journey in 2001 just to engage herself and judge her talent as fashion critics, who is the sole proprietor of the Parisa Boutique. Parisa is mainly factory based, working as a small industry taking orders from mentioned clients and producing according to their demand. . Parisa is currently producing custom design ladies salwar kameez, kurti, baby dress and house hold products – bed cover, table-mat, cushion cover etc.
Parisa is mainly producing custom design products for the customers as per their order as well as started online marketing for local and overseas individuals with her own design. Present customers are: Banglar Mela, Studio Emdad, Ananda Basanta, Indigo, Nipun etc. In 2012, an organization WEND was formed and she was elected as the general secretary of that organization. Now WEND is growing rapidly to uphold the women’s empowerment to drive the society with entrepreneurship initiatives.
